Children's Director: Penny Sims
Penny Sims has been attending First Baptist Church of Lowell her entire life. She began playing an instrument for worship in November of 1976. She joined the staff as Children's Director in September of 2009.Penny has a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Arkansas. She taught school for 28 years in the Rogers School System, primarily in the area of Special Education. One of her favorite Bible verses is Luke 2:10-11 which says, "And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." It's easy to see and feel the joy of Christ in children. That's why Penny feels so blessed to be able to serve God and FBC-Lowell through the children's ministry.
Penny has two children. Haley is married to Caley and they have her two terrific grandchildren, Katie and Jacob, and live in Lowell. Brad is married to Mallory and they live in Springdale.
